Brian - The balloon ride was cold at first because we started out so early in the morning. It quickly warmed up once we were in the air. The flame from the balloon was very warm. Per Indiana Jones - just wait for the next blog because we went to Petra, which is what was actually in the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie.

Cherryl - It's good to hear from you. Hawaii sounds wonderful, especially now that it is soo cold. After the iPod touch, you will have to figure out how to share photos online from your trips. I am sure Hawaii will be beautiful.

Hi Kelly:
I love reading your blogs. You have certainly covered a few miles since I sat next to you on the flight from Ohio to Gatwick. I have since been across the pond without you and not in first class! However, have amassed enough Delta miles to get a first class return ticket to Kona, Hawaii next February. Praps I should try blogging that trip, if I knew how! Am presently figuring out how to use the ipod touch I just purchased! Good for what little brain I have left.

Was the baloon ride cold? That temple reminds me of an indiana jones scene when they are looking for the holy grail. Looks like it was a fun trip!

I love all your pictures but my favorite is the picture of the Valley of the Kings. Mom and I both agree (it is a first) that your writing is fabulous and we both really enjoy reading your postings. Jay was probably to sick to notice the
scantily clad women (cleavage, butt cheeks, and bare stomachs everywhere) but Kevin and I enjoyed the scenery. I will never be too old for good scenery---any type of scenery!!!!!!!!!!

Here are just a couple of additional thoughts, from my perspective!

"Maybe this contributed to the improvement in Jay's health"
- After reading this and talking to Kelly about that day, I feel like I missed out on something. I didn't notice any of these scantily clad women, though they most likely would have indeed raised my spirits.

Denderah tourist policeman story:
I agree, this is definitely what we'll remember most about Denderah, and is a perfect example of some of the nonsense people expect tips for. Part of the temple was undergoing restoration, so there was some scaffolding up. To walk from one room to another, you had to duck your head underneath the crossbar of the scaffolding. As I walked up to this scaffolding, the policeman says to me "watch your head," pauses for about three seconds, and then says "money?" Needless to say, I just kept walking. And yes, he was in full police uniform, semi-automatic machine gun and all.
